To call within the same area code in Egypt dial only the local number. Do not dial the trunk prefix ‘0’ or the area code.

Egyptian phone numbers are nine to ten digits (ten to eleven digits including a leading ‘0’ that is not dialed when called from outside the country).

The first one to two digits are an area code that represents a geographic part of the country.

Mobile numbers are represented by area codes (carrier codes) starting with ’10’, ’11’, or ’12’.
